Heya! I am Btissam (pronounced /b.ti.sa:m/), an Expert in Data-Driven Decision Science. I enjoy employing formal methods in practical real-world scenarios.

For the last 7 years, I have been part of the Knwoledge Graph Lab in Edinburgh Research Centre at Huawei Technologies R&D (UK) Ltd.

I have been developing innovative and novel solutions designed for Knowledge Computing and Serving in many application scenarios belonging to different domains (e.g., personal assistants, e-commerce, geospatial search, etc.).

I also have experience in applying operations research methods, mainly mixed-integer and stochastic optimization, in enhancing the performance of distributed systems.

I am keen to leverage Mathematical Optimisation, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing with Knowledge engineering to build advanced, seamless and practical approaches.
